SUMMARY

A Dealer Coordinator serves as a front-line representative for the dealership. He/she greets guests as they enter the showroom, answers basic inquiries, and directs them to the appropriate party.  Verifies receipt of and performs a damage inspection on new vehicles delivered to the dealership.  Parks vehicles in the new-vehicle lot in an orderly manner.  Helps keep the front lot clear of trade ins and lease returns throughout the day and ensures the front lot is empty at the end of the day. Will be trained in completing the delivery paperwork and explaining the features of the new vehicle to our customers.    Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform duties.  Entry level position that will provide a great foundation for further opportunities within our company.

DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Coordinator Duties

• Constantly monitor floor traffic activity by walking through the showroom.

• Greet showroom guests using the approved word track and determine the nature of their visit.

• Obtains and records basic demographic information about each guest in a timely manner, using dealership sales control system.

• Properly introduces the guest to the next available salesperson in the guest rotation system.

• Direct guests to the correct department, notify the appropriate salesperson that a guest is waiting, or introduce the guest to a salesperson.

• Maintain a professional appearance in both dress and actions.

• Inspects new vehicles and dealer trades to detect damage and to verify the presence of accessories listed on invoice.     

• Records the description of damages and lists missing items on the delivery receipt.

• Parks new vehicles in assigned areas.  

• Assigns stock control numbers to vehicles and hangs stock tag in windshield and tags keys.

• Maintain the appearance of showroom and the upkeep of the front parking lot.  Check front parking area for trash and run the sweeper on sidewalk or lot as needed.

• Be responsible for brushing snow off pad cars, front row cars and inventory vehicles when necessary. 

• Assist with moving the lot for larger snow removal.

• Bring new and used vehicles to the front lot as needed by the TL’s for incoming appointments.

• Learn how to and complete lease turn in process to assist sales department when sales reps are all busy.

• Learn all paperwork and become thumbs up certified to complete paperwork at time of delivery

• Learn technology and remainder of delivery process as to be able to complete entire delivery.

• Learn and understand technology for vehicles, learn how to give the customer a tour of the service department, introduce to a service writer and show them how to get their vehicle serviced.

• Park trade ins, lease returns, dealer trades and return to inventory any vehicles pulled up front throughout the day.

• Ensure the front lot is free of vehicles at the end of every day, so the next day starts clean.

QUALIFICATIONS          To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.    Qualifications required for this position are:

High level of verbal communications skills

Basic computer skills including but not limited to data entry.

Functionally familiar with iPad or similar device.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS              This position involves standing and/or walking for long time periods and repetitive hand and arm movement.
