Title Clerk – Rochester, New York

The Bob Johnson Auto Group is seeking an experienced Automotive Title Clerk for an immediate full time opening. Come join a family-owned dealership that has a long history in the community. Our company is passionate about providing the highest levels of customer service and pride ourselves on our elevated standards and values.

Job duties and responsibilities include:

• Prepare title and registration documents. Accurately prepare financial agreements, rebates, and additional product and service documents. Keep  informed and updated on NYS Motor Vehicle Department (DMV) requirements and tax laws as they pertain to each sale
• Submit consumer applications for credit to lending institutions and collect/verify any supporting documents needed as part of the transaction
• Process transactions including retail sales, dealer trades, incentives and wholesales (including intercompany)
• Stock-in new and used vehicles into inventory, file Manufacturer’s Certificate of Origins (MSO) for vehicles and titles
• Edit and process DMV paperwork and send to DMV for processing
• Prepare registrations returned from DMV to mail to customers
• Prepare and track in-transit (out-of-state) transactions
• Maintain necessary supplies: contracts, bank forms, MV82’s, Book of Registries, stock tags, Used Car Buyer Guides, Odometer Statements, etc.
• Maintain and replenish new plates & DMV supplies
